Synopsis
Bleach Vol 13: The Undead is the 13th volume of the Bleach manga series. It was written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. The volume was released in Japan on January 4, 2004, and in English on June 7, 2005. The volume contains 9 chapters and covers the arc where Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends fight against the Arrancars, a group of powerful Hollows.
The volume begins with Ichigo and his friends investigating the disappearance of several people in Karakura Town. They soon learn that the Arrancars are behind the disappearances, and they set out to stop them. Ichigo and his friends face off against several Arrancars, including the powerful Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez. Ichigo is ultimately able to defeat Grimmjow, but he is badly injured in the process.
The volume ends with Ichigo and his friends returning to the Soul Society. They are greeted as heroes, and they are given a new mission to find and defeat the leader of the Arrancars, Aizen Sosuke.
